The Asher Tour hosts over 30 high-level competitive golf tournaments each year, many of which are open to amateur golf players. While our primary focus is on the professional game, we recognize the importance these tournaments provide for high-level amateur golf participants. The fields often include high school players aiming for the collegiate level, as well as D1-D3 college players and scratch amateurs.

Amateur participants in the Asher Tour compete for valuable Asher Tour Points. These points are awarded to all amateur golf players who make the cut in the golf tournaments. Points can be redeemed for future entry fees, with each point valued at $1. For instance, a first-place finish can earn players starting at 300 points, depending on the sizes of the fields.

Registration priority is given to professional entries, but amateur golf participants are welcomed into the fields based on space availability at the 21-day Advance Entry deadline for the Asher Tour. Once the amateur golf field is established, the Asher Tour will cut to 35% of the starting amateur field plus ties after 36 holes, placing them appropriately in the pairings for the final round(s) of the golf tournaments. If an amateur is leading the field after the cut, that player will be paired in the final group of the day.

All amateur golf players compete from the same tees and aim for a scratch score (no handicap). It is highly recommended that competitors seeking to participate in Asher Tour events have a 2.0 index or below. Any amateur player who struggles to be 'competitive' in Asher Tour golf tournaments may not be approved for future events.
